Overview The nicest thing about operating the layout is the great amount of exciting train action you encounter but the small amount of operating activities that are required in order to get this experience. A sow's ear of effort produces a silk purse of results. The combined experience of the sound system and dim-able lighting (for dusk and night runs), the automated activities of two gold trains, a subway, a refuse hauler, an interurban doodlebug, and an elevated train system, and the feeling of virtual railroad reality as you walk around with the current mainline train (there are seven to choose from) makes this a very satisfying dream layout. The only thing missing is N-scale people that actually walk around and perform the daily living chores around a railroad intensive community. I'm working on that one. Alright, I'm not. Even U.S. presidents don't always tell the truth so I'm allowed a fib now and then, aren't I? Besides, if N-scale people could actually act real, that would have to make me either Gulliver or God Almighty, depending upon your perspective.
